ABOUT DISTRICT COURT
The court of Subordinate Judge Pakur was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr. Justice B. P. Jha of The High Court of Judicature at Patna on 1st May 1979.
The Additional District Judge Court was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ali Ahmed of The High Court of Judicature at Patna on 12th May 1989.
In the month of June 2001 Pakur Judgeship was separated from Sahibganj and started its functioning. The District & Sessions Judge Court was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr Justice Sudhanshu Jyoti Mukhopadhaya, of Jharkhand High Court ( presently Judge of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India) on 23rd June 2001 in the presence of Hon'ble Mr Justice R.R Prasad, of Jharkhand High Court ( the then District and Sessions Judge Pakur) and Sri. S.N Choudhury, District and Sessions Judge Sahibganj.
On 17.09.2002 Principal District & Sessions Judge Court was inaugurated in the old civil court premises by Hon'ble Mr Justice Hari Shankar Prasad of Jharkhand High Court.
On 15th October, 2011, New 12 Court building was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Prakash Tatia (the then Chief Justice of the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi) in benign presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice R.K.Merathia and Hon'ble Mr. justice R.R Prasad and Hon'ble[...]
