History
The court of Subordinate Judge Pakur was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice B. P. Jha of The High Court of Judicature at Patna on 1st May 1979.
The Additional District Judge Court was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ali Ahmed of The High Court of Judicature at Patna on 12th May 1989.
In the month of June 2001 Pakur Judgeship was separated from Sahibganj and started its functioning. The District & Sessions Judge Court was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr Justice Sudhanshu Jyoti Mukhopadhaya, of Jharkhand High Court ( presently Judge of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India) on 23rd June 2001 in the presence of Hon’ble Mr Justice R.R Prasad, of Jharkhand High Court ( the then District and Sessions Judge Pakur) and Sri. S.N Choudhury, District and Sessions Judge Sahibganj.
On 17.09.2002 Principal District & Sessions Judge Court was inaugurated in the old civil court premises by Hon’ble Mr Justice Hari Shankar Prasad of Jharkhand High Court.
On 15th October, 2011, New 12 Court building was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Prakash Tatia (the then Chief Justice of the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi) in benign presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.K.Merathia and Hon’ble Mr. justice R.R Prasad and Hon’ble Mr.Justice Prashant Kumar (the then zonal Judge, Pakur).
Online inauguration of New Juvenile Justice Board Building, Solar Energy Power and Sun Roof Shed was done on 07th October, 2021 by the Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan the then Chief Justice of the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi, in the gracious presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh (the then Justice of the High Court of Jharkhand) and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ratnaker Bhengra the then Administrative Judge, Pakur.
On 12th day of May 2023 inauguration of e-Sewa Kendra at Civil Court Pakur was done by the Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sri Sanjay Prasad the Administrative Judge, Pakur (Judge, High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi) in the presence of Sri Bal Krishan Tiwari the then Principal District & Sessions Judge, Pakur.
On 29th November, 2023 online inauguration of Virtual Platform was done by Hon’ble Mr. Justice, Sanjaya Kumar Mishra the then Chief Justice, High Court of Jharkhand in the presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sri. Sanjay Prasad the Administrative Judge, Pakur and the companion Hon’ble Judges of High Court of Jharkhand.
On 09th August, 2024 Vulnerable Witness Deposition Centre, Witness Shade and Dispensary was inaugurated in the premises of Civil Court, Pakur by the Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sri. Sanjay Prasad, The Administrative Judge, Pakur, Judge, High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi , in the presence of Sri. Shesh Nath Singh Principal District & Sessions Judge, Pakur and Sri. M.K.Baranwal (I.A.S) Deputy Commissioner, Pakur.
